Regular Season Round 17: Hyundai - RBS Centrs 78-63

Very expected game when 57th ranked LatvianRBS Centrs (2-6) lost to thirtieth ranked Georgian Hyundai (4-4) 63-78 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Hyundai. RBS Centrs managed to win fourth quarter 20-19 . But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hyundai held RBS Centrs to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 51.6 percent accuracy of the winners. Hyundai had a 37-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. Power forward Sandro Shervashidze (209-2009) nailed a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds (on 10-of-11 shooting from the field) for the winning side and guard Davit Parjiani (185-2009) accounted for 23 points. Four Hyundai players scored in double figures. Roberts Zvaigzne came up with 4 points and 13 rebounds and Karlis Tirums added 13 points and 6 rebounds respectively for RBS Centrs in the defeat. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. The victory was the third consecutive win for Hyundai . They moved-up to third place, which they share with 5 other teams. Loser RBS Centrs dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with A.Kraukla/VEF.
